MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On September 4, Russian energy company Gazprom signed a shareholders agreement on the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline at the Eastern Economic Forum.
The Nord Stream-2 pipeline, which would use the original Nord Stream pipeline for 86 percent of the route before branching off, could provide direct gas supplies of up to 55 billion cubic meters a year to European customers.
"This project is going forward. You need to discuss this with the participants on the Russian side, with Gazprom, but the project is making progress," Peskov told reporters.
