MOSCOW (Sputnik), Daria Chernyshova — Minsk is ready to participate as a reliable partner in BRICS industrial projects, the country's Industry Minister, Vitali Vovk, said Tuesday.
"Belarus is ready to participate in the projects initiated by the BRICS members and the aim is to improve lives in our countries, therefore we call on everyone to cooperate with our country, and we are ready to participate in all the large-scale projects as a reliable partner," Vovk said.
He underlined that large industrial holdings of Belarus "are ready to transfer technologies, arrange industrial output in BRICS member countries."
On Tuesday, Moscow hosts the first meeting of BRICS Heads of Industrial Authorities to discuss industrial cooperation and new opportunities for growth.
The BRICS group of emerging economies was established in 2010, when South Africa joined Brazil, Russia, India and China. Together they account for one-third of the world's economy and 40 percent of its population, estimated at approximately 2.83 billion people.
