Volkswagen Emissions Scandal Could 'Derail' German Economy
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, Volkswagen admitted that it had sold 11 million diesel engine cars worldwide that emitted up to 20 times more greenhouse gas than showed in official emissions tests.

A number of countries across the European Union, along with Canada, India and South Korea have launched investigations to determine whether Volkswagen diesel engines in their country have been fitted with this particular software.

"From what we know currently, not only passenger cars but small utility vehicles by Volkswagen are also affected," Dobrindt said in an address to parliament, as quoted by the Local news website.
