According to the source, printing has not yet begun, but production supplies, including paper, were delivered to the factory.
The mint will print banknotes of one shilling and 5,000 shillings.
The source added that for the first time Ukraine will print foreign currency with its own equipment. That is a common world practice though. For instance, in 1922 Canada printed the first banknotes of the Ukrainian national currency.
The shilling is the national currency of Tanzania. The 500, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000 shilling banknotes are currently in circulation, as well as coins ranging from five cents to 200 shillings.
