Russian Central Bank head Elvira Nabiullina said that the possibility of using swaps for investment project needed to be considered.

ANKARA (Sputnik) – Increasing the volume of currency swaps with the yuan is not necessary, Russian Central Bank head Elvira Nabiullina said Saturday.

The current volumes stand at 150 billion yuan ($24 billion).

"I don’t see the need to [increase] the volume, as the volumes which are available now are not being used up, while the deadlines require consideration," Nabiullina told reporters.

Nabiullina also added that the possibility of using swaps for investment project needed to be considered.
