WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Kerry is visiting Egypt, Qatar, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam on a seven-day trip from August 2 to August 8, the State Department said.
“[The Roadshow] will be led by senior members of my economic team and include Chief Innovation and Technology Officers from leading US companies,” Kerry said in his speech released by the State Department at the Singapore Management University on Tuesday.
Kerry explained that the purpose of the initiative was to engage Asian young entrepreneurs on how to grow their businesses according to US management practices.
“[T]he Roadshow will also engage government officials in the [Asia] region on how to create the favorable environment for entrepreneurship and innovation,” Kerry added. “The first stop will be right here in Southeast Asia.”
