MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia may discuss a discount on gas deliveries to Ukraine after March 31 deadline, but nobody has broached the subject yet," Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Friday.

"The current discount under the so-called 'winter package' is valid until March 31," Novak said in an interview with Rossiya-24 television.

"The contract between Gazprom and Naftogas on gas deliveries for 2009-2019 envisions the possibility of a gas discount approved by the Russian government," Novak said.

"However, it is a subject of separate talks. So far, nobody has asked us for such a discount," the minister said.
