Naftogaz claims it has transferred $15 million to Gazprom as a prepayment for March gas deliveries.

In June, Moscow switched Kiev to a prepayment system of gas deliveries in light of Kiev's gas debt of more than $5 billion. Since then, Ukraine has been receiving gas through reverse flows from several European countries and using its own reserves. - Sputnik International

Russia May Halt Gas Supplies to Ukraine if No Prepayment Received

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Ukraine’s Naftogaz confirmed Friday it had transferred $15 million to Russia’s gas giant Gazprom for March fuel deliveries.

“We confirm this,” Naftogaz’s press secretary told RIA Novosti by telephone.

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said earlier in the day that Gazprom had not yet received any funds from Naftogaz.

Gazprom has not confirmed receipt from Naftogaz for March gas deliveries.
