MOSCOW, October 14 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s import substitution program does not imply that Russia was planning to end cooperation with the West in the sphere of high technologies and innovation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.

“We see the negative impact of sanctions on cooperation in high-tech industries,” he said. “Naturally, we will take all measures needed to protect ourselves from illegal limitations,” Lavrov said.

“This does not mean that when this unhappy moment in our relations is over, we will reject cooperation in the sphere of innovations and high technologies,” he added.
