MOSCOW, October 9 (RIA Novosti) - The Central Bank of Russia is issuing a 10 ruble coin dedicated to the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with the Russian Federation, a statement on the website of the regulator said on Thursday.

Coins in the new series will be released in two forms: one - dedicated to Crimea, the second - to the federal city of Sevastopol. Ten million coins of each type will be issued by the Central Bank.

Inscriptions "18.03.2014" (the date of Crimea and Sevastopol's reunification with Russia), the "Republic of Crimea" and "Sevastopol" will be put in the lower part of the coin with the "Russian Federation" inscription on the top.

In July, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Georgy Luntovsky said the regulator planned to release a bill dedicated to Crimea. Later he said that the bill would target wide circulation, just like the Olympic banknotes. The central bank also declined to release the ten thousand rubles bills dedicated to Crimea as it was earlier suggested by the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR).
