Australian air carrier, Qantas signed a deal with Airbus on buying 110 A320 Airbus planes for $9.5 billion, aircraft manufacturer said on Thursday.
The order, which is called “the biggest in Australian aviation history,” includes 78 A320neo jets and 32 A320s.
The French company said in its press release that the planes, delivered to Qantas, would perform both short and medium haul domestic and international flights.
Airbus has received 1,245 A320neo orders and commitments since its launch in December 2010, the company said in a statement.
