MOSCOW, April 3 (RIA Novosti) - Irkut Corporation [RTS: IRKT] said Tuesday its net profit calculated to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) totaled 1.12 billion rubles (about $42.3 million) in 2006.
Irkut, one of Russia's largest aerospace holding companies, posted a loss of 725.2 million rubles (about $27.8 million at the current exchange rate) in 2005.
Sales increased 110%, year on year in 2006 to 16.88 billion rubles (about $649.3 million) and gross profit was up 120% to 6.93 billion rubles (about $266.4 million), the company said.
Irkut designs, manufactures and sells a wide range of high-tech products, including the Su-30MK multirole combat aircraft and the Be-200 multipurpose amphibious jet.
