MOSCOW, December 21 (RIA Novosti) -- RWE Transgas, a subsidiary of German utility RWE AG that supplies natural gas to the Czech Republic, said Thursday it has extended an export contract with Russia's energy giant Gazprom until 2035.

The company said 9 billion cubic meters of gas will be delivered each year.

The parties have also extended the contract for the transit of Russian natural gas across Czech territory until 2035.

About one-third of Russian natural gas exports to Western Europe goes through the Czech Republic.
