    Russia's Gazprom snaps up 30% of Kyrgyzstan fuel-station market

    MOSCOW, June 20 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom [RTS: GAZP] has acquired over 100 gas stations in Kyrgyzstan, or 30% of the country's market, a deputy head of the Russian gas giant said Tuesday.

    Alexander Ryazanov said Gazprom had paid $99 million for the assets, "while the market estimation of the assets was $120 million."

    He added that the assets represented 70% of fuel stations in the center of the country.

    Ryazanov said Gazprom was talking with the Kyrgyz authorities regarding the formation of a joint venture to be based on two refinery plants in Kyrgyzstan.
