MOSCOW, October 11 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Railways has increased the volume of transportation of oil and petroleum derivatives by 4% in the first nine months of 2005 to 165,265,000 metric tons, the Russian railroad monopoly vice president said Tuesday.
Salman Babayev told journalists the company intended to have transported more than 200 million metric tons of oil and petroleum derivatives by the end of the year, which would account for 16% of annual cargo railage.
