KRISTALINA GEORGIEVA TO BE IN CHARGE OF WORLD BANK MOSCOW OFFICE

MOSCOW, APRIL 7. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- On May 1 Julian Schweizer, head of the World Bank Moscow office, will leave the post, he told the news conference in Moscow on Wednesday.

His place will be taken by Kristalina Georgieva, earlier the World Bank director for the environment.

She has also worked in different countries of the former Soviet Union, including in Central Asia, specified the press service of the World Bank Moscow office.

Scheweizer said he will go to Central Asia to head the South Asia manpower resources sector.

The sector will work with Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Burma, he said.
