MOSCOW, April 6 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Vimm Bill Dann company is not holding talks now with the Danone group of companies on the sale of the former's controlling package of shares.
"I am not conducting any negotiations with the Danone Group on possible purchase by the Danone group of Vimm Bill Dann's shares," the Board Chairman of the Vimm Bill Dann open joint stock company, David Yakobashvili told RIA Novosti Tuesday. "I know nothing about the participants of the controlling group holding such talks with the Danone group." Last week, Jacques Ioffe, Danone's general representative in Russia, told RIA Novosti that Danone has resumed talks with Vimm Bill Dann on the purchase of its controlling package.
"The question remains open, we continue talks on this issue with them," Mr. Ioffe said. He refused to give more detailed comments.
