RUSSIAN COMPANY LUKOIL STARTS DELIVERING OIL PRODUCTS TO IRAQ

MOSCOW, April 1, 2004 - RIA Novosti. The Russian LUKoil company on Thursday starts delivering oil products to Iraq.

The Litasko company (a 100% subsidiary company of LUKoil) signed a contract in March with the American Refinery Associates of Texas, Inc. for delivering benzine and diesel fuel to the northern provinces of Iraq, the press release issued by LUKoil says.

The contract has been signed for three months with the possibility of its prolongation till 12 months. A quarter amount of benzine deliveries is 180,000 tons and of diesel fuel - 130,000 tons.

According to the contract, the Litasko will make all the operations connected with logistics and the commodity and financial ensuring of the deliveries," the press release says.

The Litasko was registered in Geneva in 2000. The main trends of the company's activity are transporting and selling oil and oil products. The Litasko is the exclusive trader in oil and oil products of LUKoil.
