MOSCOW, March 17, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - On Wednesday, the Russian Finance Ministry made another payment of Russia's debt to the IMF in accordance with the schedule.
According to the ministry, the payment was effected in two currencies to the sum of 18,762,900 euros and $5,535,800.
This is the second in a series of payments scheduled for March in this category of the debt. The final third payment this month is due on March 26.
In all, this year Russia is to pay off $1.7 billion to the IMF.
The country's total debt to the Fund amounts to $5 billion.
