MOSCOW, MARCH 10 (RIA NOVOSTI) - In March Trans Nafta increased gas supplies to Belarus to 900 million cubic meters with account for the previous supplies, the company has told RIA Novosti.

Trans Nafta and Beltransgaz coordinated gas supplies to Belarus in "March at 900 million cubic meters. Gas will be delivered at the old price of $46.68 per 1,000 cubic meters," Trans Nafta said.

On March 4, with account for the preceding supplies in March, gas supplies were agreed upon at 660 million cubic meters.

Gazprom has not been supplying gas to Belarus since January 1, 2004. Another independent gas supplier, Itera, terminated supplies to Belarus on February 12 but is ready to resume them in March and deliver 500 million cubic meters at $46.68 per 1,000 cubic meters.

As reported earlier, OAO AK Sibur and OAO Beltransgaz on Wednesday signed an agreement on the supply of gas to Belarus, says a Sibur press release received by RIA Novosti.

The agreement provides for the supply of one billion cubic meters during 2004, including 200 million in March.

The price of gas supplies is comparable to Trans Nafta's.

The terms of gas transportation have been coordinated with Gazprom, the press release says.

Gazprom is Sibur's main shareholder.
