FRADKOV EXPECTS FROM KHRISTENKO NOMINATIONS FOR FEDERAL AGENCIES, INDUSTRY AND ENERGY MINISTRY'S SERVICES

MOSCOW, MARCH 10 (RIA NOVOSTI) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov is waiting for Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko's nominations for the federal agencies and services under the Industry and Energy Ministry, RIA Novosti learnt from the press service of the former Ministry for Industry, Science and Technologies.

It said that Mr. Fradkov confirmed the desire to appoint Boris Alyoshin head of the Federal Industry Agency, Alexander Rumyantsev head of the Federal Atomic Energy Agency.

"Fradkov said nothing about the candidature for the Energy Agency. He only noted that the atomic energy and energy ministries are not merged into one because each handles specific matters, especially in the nuclear field," said the source.

"Fradkov also stressed that the preparatory stage should be passed as soon as possible to get down to actual work. He said that the responsibility of ministers is now enhanced and their work is elevated to a new level," said the ministerial press service.

The Industry and Energy Ministry is made up of the Federal Nuclear Supervision Service, Federal Technical Regulation and Methodology Service, Federal Technical Inspection Service, Federal Atomic Energy Agency, Federal Space Agency, Federal Industry Agency, Federal Construction and Housing Utilities Agency, Federal Energy Agency.
