GERMAN GREF RETAIN HIS POST IN THE NEW CABINET

MOSCOW, MARCH 9. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- German Gref has been appointed the Minister for Economic Development and Trade, President Vladimir Putin told the cabinet at a conference on Wednesday. The president has signed the corresponding decree.

The ministry will include the Russian Federal Property Fund and the Federal Property Agency.

German Gref was born on February 8, 1964 in the Pavlodar region of the Kazakh SSR (now the Republic of Kazakhstan).

In 1982-1984 did active service in the Armed Forces of the USSR.

In 1990 graduated from the Department of Law of the Omsk State University as a jurist; and in 1993 from the post-graduate course of the Leningrad State University.

1990 - professor at the law department of the Omsk State University.

1991-1992 - legal adviser at the Committee for Economic Development and Property of the administration of Petrodvorets (administrative region of St.Petersburg).

1992-1992 - head of the Petrodvorets regional agency of the Committee for Property Management of the administration of St.Petersburg.

1992-1994 - chairman of the Property Committee-deputy head of the administration of the Petrodvorets region of St.Petersburg.

1994-1997 - deputy chairman-director of the Real Estate Department, first deputy chairman of the Committee for Municipal Property Management of the administration of St.Petersburg.

1997-1998 - vice-governor-chairman of the Committee for Municipal Property Management of the administration of St.Petersburg.

1998-2000 - first deputy minister for the state property of the Russian Federation.

1999-2000 - chairman of the non-commercial fund Strategic Developments Centre.

May 18, 2000 to February 2004 - minister for economic Development and trade of the Russian Federation,
