"The market did not offer any sizeable response to the nomination approved," says Alexei Bocharov, Metropole Co. trader.
"Future Cabinet arrangements and particular nominations are now shifting into the limelight," adds Sergei Zakharov, Zerich Capital Management Co. analyst.
"Today's Duma approval of the Fradkov nomination is no surprise, and encourages current moderate market progress," Olga Belenkaya, Olma Co. analyst, joins in.
The market was approving from the start as President Vladimir Putin nominated Mikhail Fradkov Prime Minister, so today's Duma vote promoted positive developments after a few previous days' correction moves.
