Formation of the new government structure should be linked to the tasks in the economic sphere and the administrative reform, Mr. Fradkov emphasized.
According to him, the analysis of the real economic sector will help correlate the government's work with the foreign-economic, investment and industrial policies and focus on the priority industries.
Among other priorities he also named "a deep analysis of all social issues." "The main task of the new government in the social policy will be the final departure from untargeted subsidies and benefits. The state aid should be given to those who need it," he said.
"As we are oriented towards competitiveness, we also have to solve such complicated issues as jobs that become vacant," Mr. Fradkov pointed out.
He also pointed to the need "to pay significant attention to science, both fundamental, applied and corporate, yet simultaneously taking into account the market needs and business opportunities." Apart from this, the candidate underlined the need to educate qualified personnel, including in the education sphere.
"The highly qualified personnel will ensure competitiveness of the Russian economy," Fradkov concluded.
