A SESSION OF JOINT SAUDI-KAZAKH COMMISSION ON COOPERATION OPENS IN RIYADH

ABU DHABI, March 2 (RIA Novosti) - A session of the joint Saudi-Kazakh commission on cooperation opens in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on Tuesday. On its agenda are issues of strengthening interaction between the two countries in the trade and economic, cultural and other spheres.

The participants in the session will discuss ways for boosting growth of bilateral trade and measures for encouraging mutual familiarization with the products manufactured by the two countries. They are also to exchange opinions on the two state's interest in raising partnership in various spheres onto a higher level.

The Saudi side at the talks is headed by Minister of Trade and Industry of the Kingdom Hashim Yamani, and the Kazakh side - by Mayor of Kazakhstan's capital Astana, member of the government Timurkhan Dosmukhanbitov. Taking part in the talks are also senior executives of the state structures and representatives of private business of the two states.

The commission's first session was held in Astana in 2000.
