MOSCOW, March 1, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- Russia intends to give more defence enterprises the right to sell their output and services on foreign markets, President Vladimir Putin said opening the Kremlin session of the commission for military-technical co-operation with foreign states.

He said that last year the right was granted to 14 enterprises but "their results for the year are modest. However, we expect that the volume of their export deliveries this year will grow considerably."

The president pointed to the need to "pay special attention to increasing the range of exported military hardware and supplying the exported goods with the latest automation, command, reconnaissance and communication systems."
