MOSCOW, February 27, 2004. (RIA Novosti). State Duma First Vice Speaker Alexander Zhukov believes that Russia can join the World Trade Organization (WTO) by the end of 2005.
I am a supporter of Russia's soonest joining the WTO, Zhukov told journalists on Friday.
"The world gas and electric energy prices will not be introduced in Russia in the near future. If the European Union takes a more flexible position, Russia can join the WTO by the end of 2005," he said.
