MOSCOW, February 18 (RIA Novosti). According to the regular World Bank report on the Russian economy received by the RIA Novosti on Wednesday, the Yukos's case has not led to the sudden and continuous flight of the capital from Russia.

/A number of the Yukos's major shareholders were accused of financial fraud and evading taxes by General Prosecutor's Office last year. The cases of some of them are still under investigation while others have been in 'wanted lists'./ "Some experts' forecasts on the mass flight of the capital due to the Yukos's case in the last quarter of 2003 failed to be true," the report reads.

"In reality, according to the Central Bank preliminary assessments, the last quarter of 2003 saw the clear increase of funds from the abroad in the amount of $2.5 billion," the World Bank experts stress.
