GEORGIAN WINES WIN PRODEXPO-2004 CONTEST IN MOSCOW

TBILISI, February 13 (RIA Novosti) - Georgian wines won the international wine-tasting contest Prodexpo-2004, which was held in Moscow on February 9-13.

Tamada (Vazisubani region) won the grand-prix in the category "The best dry wine in the CIS." Wines Kindzmarauli, Mtsvane, Napareuli, Cabernet Sauvignon, Saperavi and Akhasheni (Tamada brand) and Alazani (Develi Tbilisi brand) won seven gold medals.

Wines Mukuzani, Pirosmani Tseteli, Odzhaleshi, Khvanchkara, Tvishi, and Pirosmani Tetri (Tamada brand), Tetri, Tsiteli, Alaverdi Tetri, Alaverdi Tsiteli and Alazani Tetri (Develi Tbilisi brand) and Chacha Special were granted with supreme quality certificates.

Several thousands food-producing companies participated in the Prodexpo-2004 contest.
