MOLDOVA INCREASES EXPORTS OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS TO RUSSIA

CHISINAU, February 12, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Vladimir Novosadyuk). In 2003 Moldova exported industrial products to Russia for the sum of 11.2 million dollars (by 80 per cent more than in 2002), head of the foreign relations and forecasting department of the Moldovan Economy Ministry Eleonora Moroshanu told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

Imports of Russian industrial products to Moldova has reduced by 17 per cent (up to 4.8 billion dollars) over the same period.

Russia is Moldova's main investor, creditor and trade partner.

According to the Russian Embassy in Moldova, 40 per cent of Moldovan exports and 13 percent of imports fall on Russia.
