BAKU, February 3 (RIA Novosti correspondent Gerai Dadashev) - The official ceremony of signing the package of agreements on financing the project for the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline will be held in the Azerbaijan capital Baku on Tuesday, said a spokesman for the press service of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The package of agreements, which consists of 27 documents, will be signed by the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey (the countries through which the pipeline will pass), by international financial institutions (the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Financial Corporation), by 15 banks united into a syndicate, a number of import-export agencies (shareholders of the pipeline project) and the BTC Co., which is implementing the project.
The spokesman for the Azerbaijan oil company noted that the sum of the credit and the terms of its granting would be announced at the ceremony of signing the agreement.
