KIEV, FEBRUARY 3 (RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT YEVGENY ALEXANDROV) - Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Harrazi will arrive in Kiev on Tuesday on an official two-day visit.

The Ukrainian foreign ministry's press service reported that the sides would discuss cooperation of the two countries in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres, and topical issues of international life.

Iranian Mejlis (parliament) speaker Mahdi Karrobi visited Ukraine in October 2003 to discuss Ukrainian companies' participation in the development of Iranian oil and gas deposits. Iran wanted Ukraine to participate in building the gas pipeline to export gas via Armenia and Georgia to European countries. It was also interested in intensifying cooperation with Ukraine in power engineering, aircraft and ship building, in the transport sphere and metallurgy.

As of today, Ukraine and Russia are jointly implementing the project of a serial assembly of Iran-140 plane which is an analogue of An-140.
