MOSCOW, JANUARY 28, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Alexander Kovalyov) -- The results of the competition to choose the managing company of the Sheremetyevo international airport will be summed up on Wednesday, January 28th. The main aspirants for victory in the tender are Inter-Terminal companies whose founders include Aeroflot, National Reserve Bank and the French company Vinchi. The Russian company Alfa-Group is their main rival.

But Aeroflot is going to build a third terminal in Sheremetyevo not taking into account the results of the tender, reported the public relations department of the company. The construction of the new terminal with the help of investors will begin in late 2004 and end in late 2007.

Experts estimate its cost at $300-$350 million and the recoupment terms - 6-8 years. The company's capacity will be concentrated in the third terminal, which will render services to nine million passengers a year. The Aeroflot's subsidiary will own 100% stake in the terminal.
