Russian vice-premier, US Secretary of Trade on Russia's WTO entry

DAVOS (Switzerland), 24 January. /RIA Novosti/. Russian vice-premier and Finance minister Aleksei Kudrin discussed with Donald Evans, US Secretary of Trade Russian positions related to its entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The meeting between Kudrin and Evans took place within the framework of the World economic forum in Davos.

While commenting on the results of the meeting Kudrin stated to the RIA Novosti correspondent that "he pinpointed the most sensitive for Russia positions." Kudrin repeated that Russia would like to enter WTO already in 2004 but not "at any cost." WTO Director General Supachai Panitchpakdi stated the day before the press conference in Davos that he would not any longer risk predicting the date of Russia's entry into WTO.
