NET CAPITAL OUTFLOW FOR RUSSIA EBBS

MOSCOW, JANUARY 22. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- In 2003 the net outflow of capital /inflow minus outflow/ from Russia's private sector was 2.9 billion dollars compared with 8.1 billion dollars in 2002, as seen from the Thursday official site of the Central Bank of Russia.

While in the first and third quarters of last year, capital outflow from Russia predominated /the net outflow was 0.4 billion and 8.7 billion dollars, respectively/, in the second and fourth quarters a net inflow was registered /3.6 billion and 2.5 billion dollars, respectively/.

In 2000, according to the Central Bank statistics, the net outflow of capital from Russia's private sector was 24.8 billion dollars, in 2001 - 15 billion dollars.
