In an interview with RIA Novosti Mr. Tanayev discussed his upcoming visit to Russia and noted that in line with the long-term agreement between the two countries for 2000-2009 concrete projects have been developed.
The Prime Minister said that trade between Russia and Kirgizstan in 2003 increased 24.7% from that of the preceding year and amounted to some 245.3 million dollars according to preliminary figures.
Mr. Tanayev believes that the impetus for the renewed development of trade and economic ties was the October 2003 investment forum in Bishkek, dubbed "Kirgizstan-Russia," that reviewed questions of cooperation in the spheres of energy, industry, agriculture, tourism, ecology, transport and others.
According to Mr. Tanayev, the main topics of the negotiations in Moscow will be the development of Kyrgyzstani-Russian trade and economic cooperation, attracting Russian investments and the question of Kyrgyzstani labor migration to Russia.
