MOSCOW, JANUARY 16. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasianov has declared the need of building housing for citizens in the low-income bracket with funding coming from state and municipal resources.
"We need social housing for citizens with low incomes because mortgage crediting, in which they cannot participate, will not be a way out for them", Kasyanov said, answering a question from Duma deputies. Here, he sees a new direction of work - building of social housing at the expense of the social and municipal funds.
Kasyanov emphasised the need to think out the entire philosophy so that there be no reservation-neighbourhoods for people in the low-income bracket and place them, with the help of the state, among people with average incomes.
