MOSCOW, January 16 (RIA Novosti) - To stimulate entrepreneurship through cutting administrative regulation in the economy is the main trend in the government's activity, said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, answering the parliamentarians' questions at the State Duma session on Friday.

"The entrepreneurs should earn more, and the government must not hamper them doing this," said the head of the government.

He agreed with the opinion of a number of parliamentarians that state regulation in the extraction of natural resources in many regions "is not effective and sometimes it does not exist at all where it is necessary." "Therefore, the reduction of the government's participation in commercial activity must become a basic ideology but, on the other hand, state regulation must be intensified where it is necessary," Kasyanov underscored.

To work out just and substantiated rules in the companies' activity is the main element in creating conditions for doing away with corruption, said Kasyanov. He emphasized that these rules must be the same for all.
