MOSCOW, January 16 (RIA Novosti) - This year the Russian government is particularly interested in adopting a number of laws including: an assessed tax for individuals, Water and Forest codes and a reform of the common social tax, Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov reported at the State Duma plenary session.
Mr. Kasyanov paid special attention to the issue of the common social tax, which allows the government to develop new measures for budget reforms and increase the quality of tax administration.
Speaking about the natural resources law and the Forest and Water code, Mr. Kasyanov noted, "These bills will increase the efficiency of business activities in these fields."
