When You Don’t Need a Reason to Help People

How many times have you come across anyone who is eager to make a difference by helping others in need and who expects nothing but a simple ‘thanks’ in return?

Drug overdoses kill Americans every single day. The statistics say that every 15 minutes someone in the US dies from drugs, alcohol or pills, it’s a widely spread problem across the country and someone should finally do something about it because it seems like the concern that has been repeatedly voiced by the US government about the number of deaths of drugs, alcohol or pills has no effect.

Chasing prescriptions and chasing doctors can be also way dangerous for those who are in trouble. Joe McBratney (Joe Brat), is ready to share his story and help people who found themselves afflicted with drugs and their loved ones to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The Brat Pack campaign has been launched by Joe McBratney, born and raised in New York, who became addicted to prescription painkillers after undergoing back surgery in his early 20s, so he promised himself that if he could get his life back, he would help anyone who reaches out to him. And he keeping that promise- helping parents who suspect their children are abusing drugs get the support they need, taking them to rehab, detox centers or providing any other assistance

‘We are a group of recovering addicts and alcoholics working together to make a difference in other lives who are still struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, bi-polar- PTSD, ADHD, ADD you name it we can help with it. From adolescent to adult we have facilities to help your family, help your loved one who suffers’.

On the site anyone can fill out the form to get a treatment plan, go through free drug tests online and call to share their story.

Fortunately, neither my family members nor friends have been addicted to drugs or alcohol, so I decided to personally investigate whether the Brat Pack project as good as they say it is. Once the form on the site is filled, will someone reach out to an addict within 24 hours, as promised?

Joe himself reached me through Skype and told me his team is ready to launch a rehab in Russia and, most surprisingly, he seeks no profit of it.

Nowadays, when people raise thousands of hundreds of dollars for their startups through the Internet ‘to make the world a better place to live in’ or any other reason, it’s hard to believe that someone is ready to give his hand to help purely by setting a positive example.
