    After 4 year in existence, Jellyfish Entertainment has announced that they will disband their single girl group.

    All fans of Gugudan received sad news right before the New Year, as the parent agency of the band, Jellyfish Entertainment, announced that the women would no longer engage in activities as a troupe.

    In a statement the entertainment promotion agency thanked fans for their support and promised to focus on solo activities by the former members, noting that all members will stay with Jellyfish Entertainment.

    Gugudan debuted in 2016 with mini album 'Act. 1 - The Little Mermaid' with 9 members: Hana, Haebin, Mimi, Nayoung, Sejeong, Sally Mina, Soyee and Hyeyeon who left the group in 2018. Gugudan has had no group activities since 2018 after releasing a their third EP, ”Act. 5 New Action” with a lead single “Not that type”.

    Upset fans immediately spread the news about the disbanded group which trended worldwide, complaining that their dissolution is the only time their favs have trended so high, as, during their activities, Jellyfish Entertainment did not promote them effectively.
