Japanese Space Agency Holds Press Conference After Hayabusa2 Capsule Returns With Asteroid Samples

Earlier, the Hayabusa2 capsule, containing samples from the near-Earth asteroid Ryugu, was located in Australia after a successful landing.

Sputnik is live from JAXA Sagamihara campus in Tokyo, where Japan's Aerospace Exploration Agency is holding a press conference following the successful landing of Hayabusa2..

The Hayabusa2 probe was launched in 2014, and the samples were taken from the asteroid in 2019. The probe has conducted a one-year journey back to Earth in order to deposit the capsule.
