An EXO member has shared a pre-release track with fans ahead of his new album.

Talented Chinese artist Lay (also known as Lay Zhang or Zhang Yixing) has unveiled a new song ahead of the second part of his two-part album "LIT".

The track called "BOOM" has some tropical overtones and fits in perfectly with the summer mood, providing a taste of the second part of Lay's album. The singer worked on it with Scott Storch, a famous hip-hop producer who has made songs for 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Dr. Dre, and many other famous artists in the genre.

Fans have been amazed by Yixing's talent once again and are eagerly awaiting the other half of the album.

In contrast, the first part of the album, with the title track "Lit" was inspired by traditional Chinese culture, instruments, and tales mixed with a modern heavy sound. The release and the accompanying video clip for the song brought attention to Lay's artistry as he participated in creating the video at every stage and the first 6 songs of the album. "Lit" entered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart at #22 and broke several records on Chinese music platform QQ. The album surpassed 1.5 million pre-orders within just 7 minutes after the start of preordering and broke 9 certification records.
