Hong Kong Holds Protests Against Government’s Extradition Bill (VIDEO)

In February, the government of Hong Kong proposed amendments to the law so that the city could accept extradition requests from countries where no prior agreement existed.

Saturday’s protest was organised by the Civil Human Rights Front (CHRF), which unites anti-establishment groups. The march has begun in Causeway Bay and is expected to end near the government’s headquarters in the Admiralty district.

According to Hong Kong Free Press, the organisers expect a record turnout at the event.
