New Delhi (Sputnik)- A minor skirmish was reported between Indian and Chinese troops at Ladakh along the Line of Actual Control — the de-facto border. According to reports, the skirmish did not involve the use of arms and ammunitions but heavy stone pelting was carried out by both sides.
"PLA soldiers tried to enter the Indian side in two areas — Finger Four and Finger Five — twice on Tuesday morning. Personnel from both sides received some injuries in stone-pelting. The rival troops pulled back from the confrontation site after banner drills to defuse the situation," read a report published by the Times of India.
The Indian Army refused to comment on the incident. Both India and China have reinforced their military strength at the border considering the protracted standoff at Doklam — an area disputed between China and Bhutan and having a considerable presence of Indian forces given its strategic location as a tri-junction.
