BEIJING (Sputnik) — Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is invited to participate in the Chinese 2017 International Industrial Capacity Cooperation Forum (IICCF) and the 9th China Overseas Investment Fair (COIFAIR) in Beijing at the end of November, a Chinese official told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"We contacted the office of Russian Prime Minister Medvedev, and he expressed willingness to attend the event. However, [during the same visit] he wants to have a regular meeting of the Russian and Chinese prime ministers, which is tentatively scheduled for late November," He Zhenwei, the secretary general of China Overseas Development Association (CODA), said.
He added that Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov was providing great assistance in organizing Medvedev's visits to both events.
The IICCF and COIFAIR are going to be held at China National Convention Center in Beijing on November 21-22.
