    Taliban Claims Responsibility for Attack on US Base in Bagram

    The Taliban terror organization (outlawed in Russia) claimed responsibility for the attack on the largest US military base in Afghanistan which left eight security guards dead and two others injured, the TOLOnews broadcaster reported Tuesday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) The attack took place late on Monday in the district's Shah Kah village.

    The victims served at the Bagram Air Base, the largest US military base in Afghanistan located some 30 miles north of the the country's capital of Kabul.

    Afghanistan has been suffering from instability for years, with government troops fighting against the Taliban and the Islamic State terrorist group (outlawed in Russia), as well as other radical groups.
