    Kyrgyz Security Service Detained Member of Int'l Terrorist Group Planning Attack

    The State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan announced on Friday the detention of a member of a terrorist group "tasked with carrying out a terrorist attack on the territory" of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

    BISHKEK (Sputnik) – According to the statement, the militant received special preparation and "was tasked with carrying out a terrorist attack in the CIS during the Victory Day celebrations."

    "The State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan … detained a militant of an international terrorist group, born in 1994, a native of the Osh Region," the statement read.
