    Over 470 Int'l Flights Canceled at Istanbul Airport Due to Heavy Snow

    The Turkish Airlines put off 471 international flights from Ataturk Airport in Istanbul because of heavy snow on Sunday, the company said.

    ANKARA (Sputnik) — Initially, the Turkish Airlines also canceled all domestic flights but, as of 14:00, resumed them with the exception of departure flights from the Ataturk Airport.

    On Saturday, the Turkish Airlines canceled 610 domestic and international flights from Istanbul due to heavy snow. About 6,000 passengers were accommodated in hotels, some 20,000 provided with food.
