Turkish police captured 40 people on Friday on suspicion of spreading Islamist propaganda in an operation across the southern Adana province, local media said.

ANKARA (Sputnik) — Police raided several locations with air support from helicopters, an anonymous security source told the Anadolu news agency.

The region on the Syrian border has been targeted by Daesh terrorist group and Kurdish separatists. Earlier this week, a car bomb exploded near a Turkish military bus carrying soldiers, killing 13 and injuring 55 people.
